Isaiah 53:9
He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.

Happy Easter from Edgar.
Thoughts for Holy Week
At 3 o'clock Jesus groaned out of the depths crying aloud "my God my God why have you abandoned me". With a loud cry he breathed his last breath. At that moment the temple curtain ripped right down the middle
What a price he paid to bring us to God
Thoughts for Holy Week
John 15.9
As the Father has loved me so I have loved you. Now remain in my love
How great it is to have a Father who loves us and a Saviour who will give his life for us
Thoughts for Holy Week
Colossians 1.19-20
For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him and through him to reconcile to himself all things by making peace through his blood shed on the cross
A great gospel message and this is a great gospel song I heard today for the first time
Thoughts for Holy Week
Philippians 2.7-8
Being in very nature God he did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness and being found in appearance as a man he humbled himself.
What a king we have. Every humble act required for our salvation he willingly does.
This may help you worship the servant king
Thoughts for Holy Week
Isaiah 53.2-3
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by men a man of sorrows and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised and we esteemed him not
How many failed to see and recognise who Jesus truly was when he lived on earth? Do we ever fail to desire him and esteem him?
Thought for today from Frances.
I went out for my walk today, this scene of the tide coming in and going out is a sure constant. It reminded me that we have a constant God, an unchanging God. A God that we can trust. It brought me comfort in these uncertain and constant changing days.
Much love
